It is time to start selling popcorn, you all should have received an order form in the mail. If you did not get one or cannot find your order form, attached is a copy of the form just print it and start selling. The popcorn is one of the Troop’s main fundraiser’s and we ask that everyone participate, do their best and sell, sell, sell. All popcorn order forms and MONEY (cash or checks made out to Troop 623) are due by the October 5th, Troop Meeting. Don’t forget that every Scout gets 10% of their total sales in their Troop account to use as needed on Troop activities or gear, such as Troop t-shirts, Troop outings, etc…the top 3 sellers will get a prize from the Troop.

This event is for Order of the Arrow members only. Contact your Order of the Arrow representative for more information and sign up paper work.

However, we would still like to know if you are attending; so please register so that we can keep accurate attendance. Thank you.

Attention All Scouts!

The City of Rancho Santa Margarita is hosting a Patriot Day Flag Ceremony with the Marines of 2/5 Camp Pendleton and we need your support. All scouts are encouraged to attend this event in uniform. The Marines will have their equipment on display including: Amphibious Assault Vehicles, HUMVEE’s, and more. Make a family day of the event. Your American Legion Post and local VFW Post members along with many others will be there! See the flyer for details.

American Legion Post 862 offers two Scholarships a year for this Adult Leader Training Program. Interviews will be held Monday, August 23, 2010, 7pm, during the monthly Post meeting at the Norm Murray Center, Veterans Way and La Paz, Mission Viejo. If you are interested, please email Thom Spratt at tjs-post862@cox.net. Please bring the completed Wood Badge Application with you to the interview.

Please see attached list of who has turned in their medical forms. If you have not turned in your completed, signed by a Doctor medical forms please do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This is not optional it is a Boy Scouts of America’s policy and everyone must have a physical every year and have a completed form on file.
